PESPA 2021 Bargaining Highlights

Salary Schedule Increases: 

  • Year 1:  IPD (2%) + 5%
    • Longevity @15 yrs (was @16):  $1.30
    • New longevity @ 20 yrs:  $1.50
    • ELL and SPED Certificates:  $.25/hr
    • Advanced Para Certificate:  $.50/hr
    • ADA pay increased to $60/hr
    • Resource moved to Level 3

  • Year 2:  IPD + 2%

  • Year 3:  IPD +
    • Add step 5 equal to 2% above step 4

Other Improvements: 

  • Work shift increased by 15 min/day for some job categories
  • 10% wage differential when substituting for cert. employee
  • New evaluation system
  • Additional paid holiday (Juneteenth)
  • Increased access to paid Prof. Learning for LPNs
  • New de-escalation training on paid time
  • Mentorship program committee established
